Alamein House is only a few minutes walk along a pleasant and level promenade to the ferry terminal and the centre of Rothesay.

            View across the sands at Ettrick Bay                 The Waverly at Rothesay                    A Seal sunbathes at Scalpsy

* a mild climate, due to the gulf stream.

  most magnificent victorian gothic mansions in the world.

* the 800 year old Rotheasy Castle, now a ruin, but once home to

  Scottish Kings.

  sea-worthy. Excursions from Rothesay ferry terminal during the summer
